Letter From ims/Astral to Clients
From Ron Hutchinson -imsradio
This is a big day for all of us at the former Standard Radio. Today, we became part of Astral Media - now Canada’s largest radio broadcaster and one of the country’s important media companies. We are thrilled about the opportunities that lie ahead and I would encourage you to read the attached letter from the President of Astral Radio and Outdoor, Jacques Parisien. We look forward to working together with you as a part of Astral Radio.
Jacques Parisien
Group President Radio & Outdoor
October 29, 2007
As president of Astral Media Radio, it is my great pleasure to inform you that we have concluded our agreement to acquire Standard Radio. Our national network of 82 radio stations gives you the possibility to cover the whole of Canada and reach highly defined audiences at the local level through some of the best radio brands in the country.
Amidst the commotion that arose with the emergence of new media, the growth of radio has remained strong. For the past 10 years, radio has continued to increase its share of the advertising pie in Canada. This should come as no surprise: whether it is over-the-air or online, this exciting medium remains a highly targeted and cost effective means to reach consumers.
We understand how important your business is to you. It is very important to us, too. Our priority is to ensure your satisfaction by providing your team with the highest level of customer service and excellent results for you and your clients. We are thrilled to welcome over 1,000 new employees in our family of now nearly 3,000; many of whom will continue working in partnership with your group though our new in-house sales team right here in Toronto.
Your trust and alliance is the key to our future success and we look forward to building a lasting and profitable business relationship with you.
Sincerely,
Jacques
